Job summary

Hutchinson Engineering in Kilrea is seeking reliable General Operatives for the Nightshift to support the production team, learning on the job and helping ensure quality and safety.

You will follow instructions, operate basic machinery after training, and develop practical manufacturing skills; full training provided and opportunities to progress within the business.

• Operate basic machinery and production equipment following appropriate training.
• Carry out a range of manual production tasks.
• Follow production instructions and work to required quality standards.
• Inspect products and components to ensure they meet the required specification.
• Identify and report any quality issues or defects.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working area.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Handle materials safely and responsibly.
• Support other members of the production team as required.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the role.

Job description

We are looking for reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join our Nightshift manufacturing team in Kilrea. As a General Operative, you will support the day-to-day production operation, working as part of a team to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who is practical, dependable and keen to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment.
