Job summary

Holcim in Glensanda Quarry is seeking a General Operative to join a 7am–7pm, 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. Expect 84-hour weeks with on-site accommodation and travel logistics handled, and a contract initially for 3 months with potential for permanency.

The role requires manual handling, readiness to stand long hours, and prior labouring experience, with basic UK H&S knowledge. Driving licence is advantageous due to remote location.

We have a General Operative position available within Holcim at Glensanda Quarry. This role is ideal for someone who considers themself to be reliable, proactive and eager to learn.

Role: General Operative

Location: Glensanda Quarry, Rhugh Garbh Depot, Barcaldine, PA37 1SE

You will need to arrive onsite at 6.30am to catch the ferry over to the quarry, you will stay at the quarry all expenses paid for 7 days, then have 7 days off.

Rate: £18.00ph - 22.00ph

Contract length: 3 months initially but with the view to go permanent

Shift Patterns: working 7 days a week 7am till 7pm, (84hrs) 1 week on, 1 week off.

Start: ASAP
