Job summary

Polypipe Building Products, part of the Genuit Group, is seeking a production operative to ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process and achieve high product quality while minimising waste. You will monitor the extrusion line, report issues, and maintain a clean, safe environment on site in the United Kingdom.

The role includes day and night shifts on a 3 on/3 off basis with a night shift uplift (£3.00) to £16.45 per hour, plus a range of benefits such as a contributory pension, life

• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Willingness to perform manual handling and heavy lifting.

Job description

Role: To ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process and focus on achieving the highest levels of product quality whilst minimising waste.,

• Ensure the production line is running correctly and efficiently throughout the shift and report any issues to Supervisors/Management
• Monitor the performance of the extrusion machine ensuring minimum scrap level is achieved at all times
• Ensure that all aspects of H&S policies and procedures are complied with in all daily activities
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment to a high standard
• You will be required to stand for long periods with some manual handling duties.

• £13.45 per hour plus £3.00 for hours worked between 10:00pm & 6:00am (totalling £16.45 per hour)
