Job summary

Polypipe Building Products in Doncaster is seeking a manufacturing Operative to ensure smooth operation of the production line and maximise product quality while minimising waste.

You will operate moulding machines, monitor output, and work to tight deadlines across a three-shift pattern (Days, Afters & Nights). Full training is provided for relevant fault finding and safety procedures, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating injection moulding machinery would be an advantage; training provided.
• Working to tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Training in minor fault finding and rectification.
• Good numerical and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Run machines to maximise output and ensure quality.
• Ensure products meet required quality standards.
• Maintain safe machine conditions and lock-off when not in use.
• Check products for defects and ensure correct assembly.
• Pack, label and store products safely in designated areas.
• Separate waste for recycling.
• Move pallets with a pump truck for loading.
• Prevent contaminants entering granulators.
• Achieve production targets.
• Complete daily production sheets.
• Carry out cleaning duties and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Role

To ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process and focus on achieving the highest levels of product quality whilst minimising waste.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all machines are running efficiently to maximise the output.
• Ensure the manufactured product meets the required quality standard.
• Ensure all machines are in a safe condition to run and are locked off it not and immediately reported to supervision.
• Check all products for defects.
• Ensure all products are correctly assembled.
• Ensure all product is correctly packaged, labelled, booked out and stored safely in the designated storage areas.
• Separate all waste products into the designated containers for re-cycling.
• Moving pallets with a pump truck into designated areas ready for loading.
• Ensure no contaminants entre the granulators (rubber, wood, steel).
• Achievement of production targets.
• Complete daily production sheets.
• Carry out cleaning duties are carried out to the best of your ability.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements
