Job summary

Genuit Group, through its Polypipe Building Products division, is seeking a manufacturing operative to ensure smooth production, maintain high quality, and minimise waste. You will work on injection moulding machinery (training provided), inspect products, and help with packaging and records.

Working Monday to Friday on a three‑shift cycle (Days, Afters & Nights), the role offers a benefits package including Sharesave, Cycle to Work, a contributory pension (matched up to 8%), life assurance,

Qualifications

• Experience operating injection moulding machinery would be an advantage, however full training is provided.
• Working to tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Training in minor fault finding and rectification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all machines are running efficiently to maximise the output.
• Ensure the manufactured product meets the required quality standard.
• Ensure all machines are in a safe condition to run and are locked off when not in use and immediately reported to supervision.
• Check all products for defects.
• Ensure all products are correctly assembled.
• Ensure all product is correctly packaged, labelled, booked out and stored safely in the designated storage areas.
• Separate all waste products into the designated containers for recycling.
• Moving pallets with a pump truck into designated areas ready for loading.
• Ensure no contaminants enter the granulators (rubber, wood, steel).
• Achievement of production targets.
• Complete daily production sheets.
• Carry out cleaning duties are carried out to the best of your ability.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Role

To ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process and focus on achieving the highest levels of product quality whilst minimising waste.

Requirements
