Job summary

Camden Group in Antrim is looking for a General Operative to join our production team. You will support manufacturing operations, assemble and finish products to quality standards, working as part of a team to meet daily targets.

Shift options are Days, Evenings or Nights, Monday to Friday with no rotation. Rates of pay are Days £12.82, Evenings £13.91 and Nights £15.07 per hour. Benefits include free parking, 28 days holidays, and Christmas & NY shutdown.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production and assembly tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure all production processes and procedures are followed accurately and consistently.
• Maintain quality standards and identify any defects, faults, or errors in products.
• Report machinery faults, equipment issues, or product defects to the Production Supervisor.
• Perform all tasks competently following completion of training and sign-off.
• Work efficiently to achieve daily production targets and departmental objectives.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area at all times.
• Ensure attendance and punctuality standards are consistently met.
• Communicate effectively with Team Leaders and colleagues regarding production requirements.
• Handle materials and products safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies, including the correct use of PPE.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Represent Camden Group professionally and courteously at all times.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Job Purpose
The General Operative is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations within the
production facility, ensuring products are assembled, processed, and finished to the required
quality standards. The role involves working as part of a team, following production procedures,
maintaining a safe working environment, and contributing to the efficient manufacture of uPVC
windows and doors.
