Responsibilities

• Prepare jigs and fixtures for production, keeping them clean and ready for use.
• Move materials and components between production and storage areas.
• Operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) safely to load, unload and move materials.
• Deliver materials and components to production or storage areas as required.
• Assist with receipt and organisation of incoming goods and materials.
• Maintain clean, organised storage areas to support material flow.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Report damaged equipment or materials to the supervisor.

Futures are looking to recruit a reliable and proactive General Operative to support day-to-day manufacturing and supply chain activities within a busy operational environment.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is flexible, safety-conscious and willing to support different areas of the business as required.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing jigs and fixtures for production, ensuring they are clean, organised and ready for use when required.
• Supporting the supply chain and production teams with the movement, preparation and organisation of materials and components.
• Operating a Forklift Truck (FLT) safely to load, unload and move materials around the site.
• Delivering materials, components, jigs and fixtures to the appropriate production or storage areas.
• Assisting with the receipt and organisation of incoming goods and materials.
• Maintaining accurate and organised storage areas to support efficient material flow.
• Carrying out general housekeeping duties, ensuring work areas, stores and operational areas remain clean, tidy and free from hazards.
• Following all company health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Reporting damaged equipment, materials, jigs or fixtures to the appropriate supervisor.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has previous experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, engineering or supply chain environment.
• Holds a valid FLT licence/certificate or has demonstrable forklift operating experience, subject to company requirements.
• Is comfortable working in a practical, hands-on environment.
• Has a good awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Is organised and able to prioritise tasks according to operational requirements.
• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Is dependable, punctual and willing to undertake a variety of duties.
• Has a flexible approach and is willing to support different departments when required.
