Job summary

Daventry Metal Products is seeking a Production Operative to join its Daventry, Northamptonshire facility. You’ll work on a range of metal fabrication tasks, assemble components, and operate basic workshop equipment in a tidy, modern plant.

The role offers a direct permanent contract, regular daytime shifts, and a Friday early finish at 1:00 PM, with overtime rates applied for extra hours and weekends. You’ll be part of a supportive manufacturing team that values reliability and hands-on

Qualifications

• A reliable, conscientious worker who enjoys practical, detail-oriented tasks.
• A positive, self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn different parts of the trade.
• Prior factory/workshop experience or familiarity with robotic welders/press brakes is a lovely bonus, but the right work ethic and manual dexterity matter most.
• You must already hold the permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assembling components, handling materials, and deburring with precision.
• Operating core workshop machinery such as saws, drills, and tapping tools.
• Assisting with specialised processes such as semi-automatic brazing, spot welding, and component pressure testing.
• Gaining exposure to high-tech kit, including press brakes and automated robotic welders.
• Keeping your workstation clean, safe, and organised.

Production Operative - Daventry Metal Products

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

Hours: 45 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 17:15 | Friday: 07:00 - 13:00 (Enjoy a 1:00 PM finish every Friday!)
