Job summary

DS Smith Featherstone is seeking a General Operative for a short-term assignment at Featherstone, Wakefield. 2 positions available for one week starting 13th Sept, with 13 shifts scheduled across day and night hours.

Ideal candidates will have experience in manufacturing or production settings, be able to stand for long periods, and perform manual handling. The role offers paid holiday and access to company benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment desirable.
• Comfortable being on foot for long periods of time.
• Able to conduct manual handling.
• The flexibility to work extra days.

Responsibilities

• Collecting sheets of cardboard off the line and putting them on a pallet.
• Keeping work area clean and tidy.
• Working in line with Health and Safety guidance and processes at all times.
• Quality checking product.
• Completing any other duties relevant to the department as requested by the shift manager.

Job Description

Do you have previous experience within a manufacturing/production/warehouse environment? Are you looking for some temporary work? DS Smith in Featherstone are currently looking for 2 Operatives to support the team for the next week working 13 shifts.

Role:

General Operative

Location:

DS Smith Featherstone, Commonside Lane, Featherstone Wakefield, WF7 5DF

Rate:

£15.79 per hour

Contract Length:

1 week's work - 13 shifts starting 13th Sept till 19th Sept

Hours:

Sunday 13th Sept - Saturday 19th Sept

The shifts will be days 06:00-18:00 and nights 18:00-06:00.

Responsibilities

• Collecting sheets of cardboard off the line and putting them on a pallet
• Keeping work area clean and tidy
