About The Role

The General Manager (GM) for Urban Rest UK&Ireland will be accountable for driving the UK&Ireland P&L and ensuring the successful execution of Urban Rest’s global strategy at the country level. This key leadership position will lead cross-functional teams across regional sales, revenue management, operations, and housekeeping. The GM will work closely with global teams to ensure alignment of strategy, operational processes, and goals to drive growth and operational excellence in the UK&I market.

Responsibilities

P&L Ownership & Financial Management:

Lead and manage the overall UK&Ireland P&L, ensuring financial and operational scorecard targets are met

Develop and execute strategies to optimise revenue growth and profitability

Monitor, analyse, and report on financial performance, making recommendations for improvement

Strategic Planning & Execution

Implement global strategies and initiatives at the country level, adapting them as needed for local market conditions.

Align country-level operations with corporate goals, ensuring consistency and execution of global vision

Drive long-term business planning, identifying new growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and inspire a high-performing team across key country functional areas

Provide mentorship and development opportunities for direct reports

Build and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment across diverse teams in multiple locations

Portfolio Growth

Work closely with portfolio growth team to deliver on country growth targets in line with financial and operational objectives

Support pre-opening planning for new properties in market, including planning for sales and operational resources to minimise ramp up time and deliver ongoing guest experience

Commercial Outcomes

Work closely with sales and revenue management teams to optimise pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory management

Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue across all UK&I properties aligned with core customer mix

Ensure the implementation of global sales programs and adjust strategies based on market-specific needs.

Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Urban Rest properties in UK & Ireland, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences aligned with Urban Rest’s brand standards.

Implement best practices in housekeeping and operational processes to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Collaboration With Global Teams

Work closely with global teams to deliver on functional playbooks, ensuring effective implementation of global policies and procedures

Provide feedback and insights to global leadership on local market trends, guest expectations, and operational challenges

Participate in global leadership meetings and contribute to the broader organizational strategy

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all properties are compliant with local laws, regulations, and Urban Rest’s internal policies

Oversee the management of risks, health and safety standards, and crisis management protocols
