Job summary

Get Golfing CIO is seeking a commercially astute General Manager for Redlibbets Golf Club in Kent, near Sevenoaks. You will lead day-to-day operations, own the P&L, and develop golf, clubhouse and events teams to grow revenue and enhance member and guest experiences.

Reporting to Get Golfing’s Executive Team, you will drive commercial outcomes, uphold safety and high service standards, and cultivate a culture of proactive hospitality—“The answer is yes, now what is the question?”.

Get Golfing CIO is an ambitious charity dedicated to making golf accessible to everyone.

We own and operate 13 golf facilities across England, welcoming over 12,000 members and 160,000 visitors annually, and accommodating 600,000 rounds of golf per year. We are seeking an exceptional General Manager; someone commercially astute, operationally sharp, and an outstanding people leader, to take Redlibbets Golf Club into its next phase of growth.

The Role

Redlibbets Golf Club is set in 160 acres of Kent countryside near Sevenoaks. It combines an 18-hole parkland course with a welcoming clubhouse and modern, versatile spaces for weddings, celebrations, meetings and community events.

As General Manager, you will lead Redlibbets’ day-to-day operations and take full ownership of the P&L. Reporting to Get Golfing’s Executive Team, you will develop the golf, clubhouse and events teams to grow revenue, deliver an exceptional experience for members and guests, and maximise charitable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

• Drive revenue growth across green fees, memberships and hospitality by leveraging the club’s location, facilities, and market potential.
• Grow weddings and events business, making full use of the Lake View, Hartley Suite, Snug and terrace for celebrations, corporate meetings and community events.
• Deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial control to ensure strong, sustainable performance.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily operations across the course, clubhouse, and events spaces, ensuring consistently high standards.
• Work with the Course Manager to maintain exceptional playing conditions aligned with the club’s reputation.
• Ensure all health, safety, and compliance obligations are met without compromise.

People & Culture

• Lead and develop a high-performing team who deliver warm, professional service.
• Create a positive, respectful working environment where staff feel supported, valued, and aligned to Get Golfing’s culture of proactive hospitality: "The answer is yes, now what is the question?"

Customer & Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships with members, societies, local partners, and event clients.
• Ensure every visitor receives excellent service, whether playing golf, using the clubhouse or attending a wedding, celebration or business event.

• Proven leadership experience within golf, hospitality, leisure, or a comparable customer-focused environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of growing revenue and optimising operations.
• Excellent people leadership experience, with the ability to build cohesive teams and maintain a positive workplace culture.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to inspire staff and build long-lasting customer relationships.
• Confidence in making decisions independently and managing a varied workload.
