Job summary

Metro Pubs in Burnham-on-Crouch seeks a General Manager to lead a busy pub, delivering exceptional guest experiences while growing sales and developing a strong team. You’ll set high standards, coach staff, manage costs, and uphold safety and brand standards to ensure a welcoming environment.

You’ll recruit and develop your team, maintain excellent customer service, and work with the management team to embed the brand across operations. Personal license may be required.

Qualifications

• Very high standards and attention to detail in daily pub operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with customers and teams.
• Business acumen with a focus on P&L control and cost management.
• Willingness to learn and adapt, with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Grow pub sales with the business development manager and management team.
• Lead by example and bring the brand to life through the team to deliver amazing experiences.
• Recruit and develop your team to ensure knowledge to delight customers.
• Champion brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times.
• If successful, you should be able to acquire or already hold a personal license.
