Job summary

Vertu Motors invites applications for a General Manager role at our Truro dealership. You will steer the site through a growth phase with BYD joining in early 2027 while continuing to run the Honda operation to a high standard of customer service and profitability.

We are seeking a commercially driven leader with a proven track record in automotive leadership, capable of building strong teams, relationships with manufacturers and delivering excellence across all departments.

Qualifications

• Proven GM experience in the automotive sector with strong leadership.
• Commercially driven leader capable of growing a multi-brand operation.
• Track record of delivering performance across departments.
• Experience driving brand introductions and dealer growth (BYD/Honda) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Truro dealership with a focus on performance, people and customer experience.
• Develop high-performing teams and manage manufacturer relationships.
• Ensure effective financial control, compliance and safety across the site.
