What we’re looking for in a IT General Manager

Location: London, Department: Information Technology , Reports To: Vice President (Operations)

Job Summary:

The IT General Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all information technology systems and infrastructure. This role ensures that IT operations align with business goals, supports digital transformation initiatives, and maintains high standards of security, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support teams.
• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
• Oversee IT budgets, procurement, and vendor management.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all IT systems and data.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT services and processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO, NIST).
• Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity.
• Proven experience in IT strategy, budgeting, and project management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
