Job summary

The Beefy Boys in Cardiff is seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee daily operations of our fast-paced burger restaurant. You will lead safety, quality, guest experience and drive a high-performing team to deliver top-tier burgers.

As GM you’ll recruit, onboard, train, and coach staff, manage inventory and supply chain, control wait times, and resolve issues to keep the restaurant running smoothly. If you thrive under pressure and love burgers, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety Captain: oversee kitchen safety and food safety compliance, ensuring top-quality, safe food and smooth operation.
• Leading the Team: recruit, onboard, train, and inspire a passionate burger crew and set clear goals.
• Food & Service Excellence: ensure every burger is perfect and every guest leaves satisfied, monitoring quality and service flow.
• Operational Management: solve problems, manage wait times and customer expectations to keep the restaurant running like a well‑oiled machine.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management: monitor stock levels and coordinate timely deliveries.
• Team Performance: provide feedback, coach performance, and recognize top performers to raise standards.
• Get Stuff Done Attitude: thrive under pressure, maintain details, and uphold high standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Health & Safety Captain: As GM, you'll be the one leading the charge when it comes to keeping everything safe and sound. From ensuring the kitchen's spotless to making sure every team member follows food safety standards like a pro, you'll make sure we're always on point. No shortcuts allowed - you'll ensure we're delivering top-quality, safe food every time while keeping the place running smoothly and the team firing on all cylinders.
• Leading the Team: You'll be the captain of our crew, recruiting, onboarding, training, and inspiring a team that's as passionate about burgers as we are! You'll show them the ropes and make sure everyone's having a blast while hitting those goals.
• Food & Service Excellence: You'll be the one ensuring that every burger leaves the kitchen with perfection and that every customer leaves with a smile on their face. You'll have your finger on the pulse of everything - from quality control to ensuring service is as smooth as our secret sauce.
• Operational Management: You're the go-to problem solver. When things break (and trust us, things break), you'll find the solution. You'll manage food wait times, customer expectations, and anything that pops up to ensure the place runs like a well-oiled machine.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Staying on top of stock levels and supply deliveries will be your thing. You'll know exactly what's in the walk-in and have the contacts to make sure everything shows up on time.
• Team Performance: You'll be the one making sure everyone is at the top of their game. From tricky feedback to celebrating the rockstars, you'll inspire the team to push their limits and reach new heights.
• Get Stuff Done Attitude: It's busy. It's fast. And sometimes, things get a little intense. But if you thrive under pressure, never lose sight of the details, and keep standards high, we want you leading the charge!
