Job Title: General Manager

Reporting to: COO

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the team at Daytona Tamworth venue. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the full operational, commercial, and safety management of the circuit, incorporating both motorsport activities and hospitality services.

You will oversee all aspects of the venue's performance, ensuring consistently exceptional customer experiences, financial targets, team development, and full compliance with all safety and operational standards.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Full operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of Daytona Tamworth.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a small team including 2 direct department heads.
  • Deliver Daytona’s renowned customer experience, ensuring service excellence at all touchpoints.
  • Achieve and exceed financial targets, managing budgets, P&L, and driving revenue opportunities.
  • Uphold full compliance with all safety, legal and operational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Plan, organise, and execute race events, corporate bookings, and hospitality functions.
  • Continually review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Actively manage stock control, purchasing, supplier relationships, and cost management.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, clients, and corporate partners.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Actively promote the Daytona brand and always uphold company standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven management experience within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and motivational skills.
  • Commercially astute with experience in budget control, revenue generation, and cost management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with natural confidence in public speaking.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a large and diverse team.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety and risk management.
  • IT literate – confident in using Word, Excel, and internal management systems (full training provided).
  • Flexible approach to working hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
