Slug & Lettuce, Derby is searching for a bold, energetic and commercially savvy General Manager to take the reins of this vibrant city centre venue.

This is more than just a bar – it’s the go-to spot in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter, you only have to read what our guests say about us to know this is true!

Slug & Lettuce Derby is tailor-made for driving pre-booked sales and private bookings. We’re in the heart of a friendly, thriving city that boasts a large student population, rich cultural scene, and a history that draws tourists from all over. About You

You’re a natural leader with a commercial edge, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and gets a real buzz from seeing a venue full and guests smiling. You know how to build and inspire a winning team that loves what they do, and you lead from the front when it comes to guest experience.

You’ll be driven by sales and opportunity – confident in growing pre-booked business, delivering offers with flair, and bringing fresh, on-brand ideas that make the venue stand out. At the same time, you know your way around the back office too, with strong operational know-how and a sharp focus on compliance and standards.
