Here at GXO, we are currently looking for a
General Manager to lead our warehouse operation in
Peterborough. You will lead an established, experienced team and be responsible for ensuring the operational and commercial success of the operation.
This is a full-time, permanent role. Although your contract will be for
Monday - Friday, this is a 24/7 operation, requiring flexibility in working hours as no two weeks are the same—after all, this is logistics!
Pay, Benefits, and MoreYou will receive a salary of up to

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day- Manage budgets, ensuring KPIs and contract targets are met; contribute to quarterly cost budgets covering all site aspects.
- Serve as the primary contact for the customer, developing and maintaining relationships through regular reviews.
- Devise and implement reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop your team; oversee all people processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
What You Need to Succeed at GXO- Proven experience in a senior management role within a high-profile customer environment.
- Understanding of commercial mechanisms and P&L management; successful track record in delivering costs and KPIs.
- Experience building strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of legal and audit compliance requirements for running a large distribution center.
