Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a hands-on General Manager for a country inn with rooms in the Oxford area. You will oversee food, drink and rooms, drive profitability, manage staffing and maintain first-class guest service while interacting with guests and staff on the floor.

The role covers weddings and events, bookings, and front-of-house management, with a focus on coaching and developing the team to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience as GM or Operations Manager in a small hotel or food-led pub.
• Demonstrated leadership with coaching teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and service standards.
• Strong guest-service orientation and problem solving.

General Manager - Oxford area - Excellent Opportunity

Our client is recruiting a General Manager for their outstanding country inn with rooms in the Oxford area. You will have full responsibility for the running of the rooms & restaurant, profitability, staffing and maintaining first class service levels. The role is fully hands on and you will work the floor interacting with guests and staff daily to ensure outstanding guest experience. The hotel has a busy mix of the bar & restaurant, weddings and functions for around 80 guests. Due to location you will need your own transport.

The Role
