Job summary

The Playwright in Nottingham is seeking a General Manager to be the face of the business, leading a passionate pub team with energy, standards and commitment.

You will drive front and back of house excellence, manage operations, coach and develop staff, and deliver against sales, profit and customer experience targets in a vibrant, community-focused pub environment.

Qualifications

• Min 3-years Management experience, ideally gained in wet led community pub environment.
• Excellent operational skills and a solid base of back office management.
• Full financial understanding, and ability to react to changing business needs.
• Ability to lead from the front and develop & train the team as required.
• A result driven and ambitious individual excited to grow the business.
• A passion for the industry and the challenges that come with it.
• Energy and motivation to successfully lead and inspire your team.

Your role as General Manager:

Energetic and vibrant, as General Manager you will be the face of our businesses and have a natural flair for hospitality and the ability to motivate and lead a team through your passion, standards and commitment.

• Overall management of the pub, maintaining front and back of house standards to drive excellence in food and drink delivery
• Ensuring guests are cared for to the highest standards and expectations exceeded
• Delivering against key measures of sales, profit, and team retention whilst having fun along the way!
• Conduct regular stock control and compare to usage reports including waste records to identify opportunities for tighter control
• Create and maintain a motivated team with excellent standards identifying talent and ensuring succession
• Regular employee appraisals and implementation of performance management

A must from us:
