Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join Searcys during a pivotal period of growth. The role requires working some evenings during larger events.

Job type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities

1. Set and manage an annual budget aligned with company targets, including forecasts and yearly objectives.
2. Monitor monthly and quarterly performance to ensure achievement of annual goals.
3. Develop strategic plans to drive profitable sales and enhance standards.
4. Recruit, motivate, develop, and manage venue staff to meet objectives.
5. Ensure resource planning maximizes opportunities to meet budgets and retain staff.
6. Communicate client and company expectations across all levels of the venue.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
8. Maintain effective communication and engagement with clients.
9. Implement accurate financial control systems and utilize Evolution software effectively.
10. Provide financial information promptly and accurately to Support Office and leadership.
11. Adhere to banking and cash security procedures.
12. Achieve minimum safety and hygiene standards, including 90% on European Safety Bureau and 5-star EHO scores.
13. Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and environmental legislation.
14. Conduct risk assessments and maintain hygiene and safety standards per company manual.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 5 years of management or leadership experience with success in team development.
2. At least 5 years in the hospitality and events sector.
3. Experience managing P&L statements.
4. Proven track record of achieving sales and performance targets.
5. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
6. Experience managing large teams.
