Job summary

Black Sheep Coffee Ltd is seeking experienced Store Managers to lead teams in a fast-paced cafe environment in London. You will drive sales, achieve KPI targets, and coach staff to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities include staffing, cash handling, inventory, and maintaining health and safety standards while representing the brand with energy and professionalism. A flexible schedule including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within coffee or food service industry.
• Flexible availability, including some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.

• Make amazing coffee and products - dial in espresso, latte art, and serve food and drinks.
• Deliver unforgettable customer service at the register and handle complaints.

• Manage compliant cash-up and bank drops, following safety procedures.
• Be a true team player, train new staff and communicate clearly during shifts.

• Keep service running smoothly by managing stock orders and stock takes.
• Run the numbers to drive sales and KPI performance.
• Create team schedules by forecasting footfall and busy periods.
• Lead by example regarding attendance, timekeeping, and food safety policies.

Hours: 35-45 Contracted Hours Per Week - Full Time

Pay: Up to £30,000

Rota: Varied shifts Mon-Sun, including some openings and/or closings

What You'll Do

• Make amazing coffee and products - dial in the perfect espresso, pour eye-catching latte art, and serve quality food and drinks every time. Ensuring your team do too.
• Deliver unforgettable customer service - provide a friendly, genuine customer experience at the register and professionally handle customer complaints and escalations.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment - work with speed and efficiency during peak periods while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Manage compliant cash-up and bank drops - Follow all cash-handling, safety, and security procedures.
• Be a true team player - Support ad hoc tasks assigned by General Manager, help train new team and communicate clearly and calmly during every shift.
• Take pride in the details - maintain a clean, safe workspace and represent the brand with positivity and professionalism. Complete daily and shift-based cleaning, food prep, compliance checklists.
• Keep service running smoothly and drive sales - place and receive stock orders to always ensure full availability.
• Run the numbers - drive sales and profitability while managing reports, stock takes and h i t t i n g store KPIs.
• Create team schedules - forecast footfall and busy periods to schedule the right people at the right time.
• Lead by example - motivate and train the team on the required behavioural standards, company policies related to attendance, timekeeping, food safety, and workplace conduct.
