Job summary

The Bull in Ditchling is seeking a creative and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead a busy, food-focused pub operation. You will own the guest experience, drive performance at the bar and kitchen, and shape the offering with fresh seasonal local produce.

You will recruit and develop your team, run events and Sunday service, manage marketing and recruitment, and be the face of the business while delivering exceptional service and a strong commercial vision.

General Manager

We're looking for a General Manager for the Bull in Ditchling. This is the epitome of a Sussex Country pub. Rustic Charm, plenty of nooks and crannies, a sun trap of a garden and 6 bedrooms for customers who want to spend the night. The food is all about fresh seasonal local produce, used to create stunning elevated pub classics and blackboard specials that showcase all that Sussex has to offer.

The perfect candidate has a track record of working with fresh food, is passionate about delivering a great guest experience and has a fantastic operational mind. They will be happy being the face of the business, and as comfortable interacting with the regulars at the bar as they are running food-lead events and a busy Sunday Service.

We believe pubs should be differentiated and individual and so we are looking for entrepreneurial General Managers to put their own stamp on our businesses. We're all about freedom within a framework - you decide what goes on the food menu - and that doesn't mean picking from a bank of recipes!
