Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a dedicated Storeman to support Defence operations. This full-time role runs 37.5 hours per week and is based on site in Cirencester.

You will perform minor repairs, keep exteriors tidy, assist with contractor management, and help open or close the building while upholding health and safety standards. The team values reliability, clear communication, and a proactive approach to customer service.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Storeman to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks.
• Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
• Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
