Job summary

NFU Mutual is seeking an experienced General Insurance Actuary to join the Actuarial Function within Risk. You will provide independent oversight across reserving, pricing, underwriting and reinsurance, shaping robust, well-reasoned decisions at board level.

In a small, visible team you’ll oversee reviews of actuarial work, collaborate with Underwriting, Pricing, Claims and Finance, and translate findings into practical recommendations for executives.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified actuary with GI experience.
• Experience reviewing methodologies, assumptions and outcomes.
• Ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent reviews of actuarial work across GI functions.
• Assess methodologies and assumptions and identify improvements.
• Support Executive and Board-level decision making with independent opinion.
