Carmichael UK is seeking a General Foreman for a major Sizewell C infrastructure package. You will oversee heavy civil, tunnelling and confined space operations, coordinating lifting and subcontractor activities on a high-profile project.

Applicants must hold a valid Sizewell C pass and relevant qualifications (CPCS/NPORS, SMSTS, CSCS Managers, First Aid). Strong emphasis on health, safety and RAMS compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

We are currently looking to recruit General Foreman for a major infrastructure package on the Sizewell C project. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest and most prestigious construction projects, supporting complex heavy civil engineering, tunnelling and confined space operations.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold a current and valid Sizewell C pass to be considered.

In addition, candidates must hold:

• CPCS Crane Supervisor (A62) or NPORS Crane/Lift Supervisor (N405 Blue Card)


• SMSTS


• CSCS Managers & Professionals Card


• First Aid at Work


• Proven experience supervising lifting operations and contractor activities on major infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC)

Experience Required

Successful candidates will demonstrate experience working within major infrastructure environments, including:

• FRC (Fibre Reinforced Concrete) works


• Shaft sinking operations


• Tunnelling projects


• Confined space activities


• Managing subcontractors and direct labour teams


• Issuing permits to work


• Coordinating lifting operations


• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures, RAMS and project documentation


• Maintaining high standards of site safety and operational control
