Job summary

Amey is recruiting a General Building Operative for HMP Humber, Brough. The role covers general maintenance and repairs across the site, supporting trades to keep the prison running safely and efficiently.

You will perform daily maintenance tasks, assist trades, and ensure fixtures are secure while reporting any defects. The position involves a 39-hour week on a rota including weekends, with a £28,792 base salary plus a 15% weekend uplift.

Hours:

• Mon-Thu: 08:00 - 17:00
• Fri-Sun: 08:00 - 16:00

The Role

We’re looking for a General Building Operative to join our team at HMP Humber, supporting the delivery of essential maintenance services across the site.

You’ll carry out general repairs and assist tradespeople to keep the prison running safely and efficiently.

Prison Security clearance and Standard DBS required (we’ll support you).
