Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a General Builder in Bristol to join our on-site team for permanent, full-time work. You will lead on-site activities and bring broad construction skills to restore residential properties involved in pollution-related restoration projects.

The role requires travel to site locations, driving licence, and the ability to operate mini digger/dumper and related equipment, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teams on-site to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard.
• Bring multi-skilled construction expertise to life, from bricklaying to underpinning and drainage.
• Operate machinery like mini diggers and dumpers on site.
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig and restore residential properties to their original condition.
• Use demolition hammers and jigsaws with safety PPE and HAVS controls.
• Travel to project sites and work closely with Project Managers.

At MEL Environmental Solutions, we’re specialists in restoring properties after pollution incidents. We're looking for a General Builder to join our dynamic team and make a difference in the insurance and environmental restoration industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and coordinate teams on-site to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Bring your multi-skilled construction expertise to life – from bricklaying to underpinning, concreting, drainage, and more.
• Operate machinery like mini diggers and dumpers
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to their original condition
• Get hands-on with tools, from demolition hammers to jigsaws (we’ve got the latest gear, and we prioritise your safety with PPE and HAVS controls).
• Travel to project sites
• Work closely with our Project Managers

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• A construction professional with multi-skilled experience, capable of taking charge and inspiring others.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to manage day-to-day site activities effectively.
• A clean driving license and a readiness to hit the road.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required, tackling challenges head-on.
