Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd in Taunton, UK, is seeking a General Builder to join our team and contribute to restoration projects in the insurance sector.

You will lead on-site teams, apply multi-skilled construction expertise, and travel to project sites as required, working closely with Project Managers. Expect to operate machinery and maintain highest safety standards with PPE and HAVS controls.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled construction professional capable of leading on-site teams.
• Strong organisational and planning skills for day-to-day site activities.
• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel and work away from base.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site teams to deliver projects efficiently and to high standards.
• Bring multi-skilled construction expertise from bricklaying to underpinning and concreting to life.
• Operate machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers where required.
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig and restore residential properties to their original condition.
• Use demolition hammers, jigsaws and other gear, with PPE and HAVS controls for safety.
• Travel to project sites and work closely with Project Managers.

• Travel to project sites
