Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd, specialists in pollution response for the insurance sector, seeks a General Builder to join our on-site team in Northern Ireland. You will lead and coordinate multi-skilled crews, ensuring projects are delivered to high standards and on schedule while working closely with Project Managers.

We value hands-on experience across bricklaying, underpinning, concreting, drainage and related trades, plus the ability to travel to multiple project sites and operate

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled construction experience and capability to lead teams on site.
• Strong planning and organisational skills for day-to-day site activities.
• Clean driving licence and readiness to travel to project sites.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required across Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site teams to deliver projects efficiently and to high standards.
• Apply multi-skilled construction expertise from bricklaying to underpinning, concreting and drainage.
• Operate on-site machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers.
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to original condition.
• Work with PPE and HAVS controls to ensure safety on-site.
• Travel to project sites and collaborate with Project Managers.

AtMEL Environmental Solutions, we’re specialists in restoring properties after pollution incidents. We're looking for aGeneral Builderto join our dynamic team and make a difference in the insurance and environmental restoration industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and coordinate teams on-site to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Bring your multi-skilled construction expertise to life – from bricklaying to underpinning, concreting, drainage, and more.
• Operate machinery like mini diggers and dumpers
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to their original condition
• Get hands-on with tools, from demolition hammers to jigsaws (we’ve got the latest gear, and we prioritise your safety with PPE and HAVS controls).
• Travel to project sites
• Work closely with our Project Managers

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• A construction professional with multi-skilled experience, capable of taking charge and inspiring others.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to manage day-to-day site activities effectively.
• A clean driving license and a readiness to hit the road.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required, tackling challenges head-on.
• Must be based within Northern Ireland and available to travel
