Job summary

Baxterstorey is seeking a General Assistant to join our education catering team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on providing exceptional food service and coffee experiences to students and staff, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

You will be part of a collaborative team, delivering friendly, efficient service and applying strong organisational skills to support daily operations across breakfast, lunch, and snack periods.

Qualifications

As a General Assistant you will...

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and coffee according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
