Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness across our award-winning club in Dundee. You will play a key role in creating a positive environment for members and colleagues, delivering friendly, professional support and upholding brand standards.

The role involves following Health and Safety policies, carrying out daily hygiene checks, reporting faults, and supporting learning initiatives to promote consistent standards across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties.
