Job summary

Everlast Gyms is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) to maintain high standards of cleanliness across our gym facilities in a role that is 20 hours per week. You will sanitise surfaces, manage waste, and support a safe, welcoming environment for members.

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but full training is provided. This is a team-based role requiring reliability, good communication, and the ability to work flexible evenings and weekends during gym hours.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but training provided.
• High attention to detail with ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation and safe chemical handling (training available).

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough cleaning of gym areas, equipment, studios, locker rooms and communal spaces.
• Sanitise and disinfect surfaces to maintain a safe environment.
• Empty bins, replace liners and follow waste disposal procedures.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Work with the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Uphold Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out thorough cleaning of all areas including gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces.
• Sanitising and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins, replacing liners, and following waste disposal procedures.
• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
• Working alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Upholding Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
