Job summary

Everlast Gyms in the United Kingdom is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. You will help create a welcoming and safe environment for members by cleaning floors, changing rooms, studios, and shared spaces.

The role is 20 hours per week with training provided. You’ll work with the gym team, manage supplies, report maintenance needs, and join a community backed by Frasers Group discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training provided).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A good communicator and team player.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough cleaning of all areas including gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces.
• Sanitising and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins, replacing liners, and following waste disposal procedures.
• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
• Working alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
