Job summary

Everlast Gyms is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) to maintain high cleanliness standards across gym areas and changing rooms. The role emphasizes attention to detail, safe chemical handling, and independent work, with training provided as needed.

The position is at 20 hours per week, requiring reliability and a team-oriented approach. Evenings and weekends align with gym hours, offering access to facilities during non-working times and opportunities for growth within the Frasers Group

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but training provided.
• High attention to detail with ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation and safe chemical handling (training provided).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communicator and team player.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough cleaning of gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers and communal spaces.
• Sanitise and disinfect surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Empty bins, replace liners and follow waste disposal procedures.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notify management when stock is low.
• Work alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Report maintenance or repair needs promptly, upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

As a General Assistant (Cleaner) at Everlast Gyms, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities. From sparkling workout areas to spotless changing rooms, you'll create a welcoming and safe environment that keeps our members coming back.

This is a 20-hour-per-week role, perfect for someone detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in the member experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out thorough cleaning of all areas including gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces.
