Job summary

Everlast Gyms in Carlisle is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for members. The 20-hour-per-week role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to excellent member experience.

You will carry out thorough cleaning, sanitise surfaces, replenish supplies, and work closely with the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not essential - full training provided.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training provided if needed).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A good communicator and team player.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.
