Job summary

Everlast Gyms is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaner) for a 20-hour-per-week role. You will thoroughly clean gym areas, sanitise surfaces, and ensure a hygienic environment to enhance member experience.

Full training provided; prior cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. You’ll join a team that values reliability, attention to detail, and strong communication while supporting a safe, welcoming gym culture.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training provided if needed).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough cleaning of all areas including gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces.
• Sanitising and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins, replacing liners, and following waste disposal procedures.
• Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
• Working alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Upholding Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
