Job summary

JD Gyms in Belfast is seeking a General Assistant to help keep our clubs clean, safe and welcoming for members and staff. You will work as part of a friendly team, delivering service with a smile and helping maintain brand standards across the club.

This role focuses on daily cleaning routines, safety checks, and supporting learning and development initiatives, while ensuring professional appearance and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Experience in customer-facing, cleaning, or leisure environments is advantageous.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties.

We invest over £1.5m in fitting out our gyms to create top quality, stylish environments for our members. We're looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and wants to play an important role in creating a positive environment for members and colleagues. You'll be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness while providing friendly and professional support to members throughout the club.

Responsibilities
