Brewood C Of E Middle School in Brewood, Staffordshire is hiring a General Assistant through Sodexo Ltd. The role supports daily food service operations, from preparation to serving and cleanliness, ensuring a friendly customer experience.

The position is term-time only (39 weeks), part-time, with a 12:00–3:00pm shift, 15 hours per week. Training is provided, and a supportive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

About the Role

As a General Assistant you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors

• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided

Additional Information

Term Time Only – Equated Pay

This role works 39 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
