Sodexo is recruiting for a General Assistant at King Edwards VI Camp Hill School in Birmingham. The role offers term-time only, 39 weeks, permanent part-time employment with a 20-hour week and a 10:00am–2:00pm schedule.

You will support day-to-day food service operations, assist with food preparation and serving, and help maintain clean kitchen and dining areas while upholding high hygiene and safety standards.

About the Role

As a General Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation.From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you'll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You'll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You'll Do

• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors

• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided

Additional Information

Term Time Only - Equated Pay
This role works 39 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
