Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc. in Reading is seeking a General Assistant for a 3-month fixed-term contract. The role runs Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week, with a salary of £29,572 per annum pro rata.

You will work across the depot, performing deliveries, collections, stock checks and customer service at the hire desk. Flexible hours and work-life balance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Driving licence required.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others.

• Work across depot areas to keep operations running smoothly.

General Assistant - Reading - Monday - Friday - 42 Hours

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.
