Job summary

Speedy Group UK&I in Poole is seeking a General Assistant to support depot operations. Typical duties include deliveries/collections, assisting with loading/unloading, testing equipment, stock control and serving customers at the hire desk.

Flexible hours are available with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. Mon-Fri, 07:30–17:00 (42 hours) with opportunities for flexible/adjusted hours and hybrid arrangements; applicants from the Poole area are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to adapt quickly and support the team.

Role - General Assistant

Location - Poole

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours

Working in all areas of the depot, you will play a busy but key role in making sure our depot runs smoothly. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working both independently and directly with other colleagues in any area of the depot. This can include: making deliveries and/or collections, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, electrical testing of our equipment, stock control, or serving customers on the hire desk.

What you’ll need:

• Driving licence
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills both verbally & written
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
