Job summary

JD Gyms in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated cleaning assistant to uphold high cleanliness standards across the club and support a welcoming environment for members and colleagues.

You will perform daily cleaning and safety checks, report defects to keep the facility safe, and maintain a professional appearance and brand-aligned uniform. The role emphasizes friendly member interactions and teamwork to sustain high standards.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Experience in a customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties.
