Job summary

JD Gyms in the UK is seeking a dedicated cleaning assistant to uphold high cleanliness standards across our clubs and create a welcoming environment for members and staff.

You will perform daily cleaning and safety checks, maintain professional appearance, and deliver friendly, professional service in line with brand standards. The role offers training opportunities and staff discounts across the JD Group.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Commitment to delivering excellent member service and maintaining high standards.
• Experience in a customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities to promote consistent standards across the business.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties.
