Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a dedicated cleaner to join our award-winning gym chain as part of our ongoing expansion across the UK. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards and create a welcoming environment for members and staff throughout the club.

In this role you will follow health and safety policies, uphold brand standards, perform routine cleaning checks, and support learning and development initiatives to promote consistent standards across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent member service and maintaining high standards.
• Experience in a customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Maintain JD Gyms brand standards across the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report defects to keep the building and equipment safe.
• Maintain facility cleanliness to a high standard.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards as required.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive, professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities to promote consistent standards.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties.

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties.
