Job summary

dnata Catering UK is hiring a General Assistant at London Gatwick. The role covers Production tasks such as preparing and plating food, handling packed goods, and packing flight kits; Equipment and stock rotation; Wash duties including cleaning and waste removal; and Search and Seal duties ensuring stock integrity.

You must be comfortable with pork and alcohol handling and work in a chilled environment. The team emphasises reliability and the ability to stand for long periods, with on-site

• Have a basic understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Production: Preparing and plating food; handling of packed food goods; packing amenity kits and flight condiments.
• Equipment: Stacking shelves; rotation of stock; re-ordering of dry stock.
• Wash: General cleaning; waste removal; washing airline equipment to industry standards.
• Search and Seal: Inspecting goods for prohibited items; checking stock for damages; completion of paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant you will be working in one of the following areas within our business:

Production

• Preparing and plating food
• Handling of packed food goods
• Packing amenity kits and flight condiments

Equipment

• Stacking shelves
• Rotation of stock
• Re-ordering of dry stock

Wash

• General cleaning
• Waste removal
• Washing airline equipment to industry standards

Search and Seal

• Inspecting goods ensuring there is no prohibited items
• Checking stock for any damages
• Completion of paperwork

Please note your duties will include but are not limited to the above
