Job summary

Speedy Hire in Exeter is seeking a General Assistant to support our depot operations and busy teams. You will help with loading and unloading vehicles, keep the depot clean, and assist across roles as needed.

This is a hands-on role with training and development on offer through our in-house programmes. We value clear communication, a team focus, and a willingness to support our ESG initiatives and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field is desirable.
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Loading & unloading of vehicles and depot cleanliness.
• Assist with all aspects of our teams, providing support where needed.

Job Title - General Assistant

Location - Exeter

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times 07:30 - 16:30 - 42 hours

£29,572 per annum, pro rata

The role of a General Assistant is a busy and productive role you will be assisting with all aspects of our teams helping out providing support. Loading & Unloading of vehicles and also ensuring the depot is clean & tidy. Whilst the role brings responsibility, it’s a perfect opportunity for you to build a career in engineering with us, where you can learn from those around you and develop with our award-winning, in-house training courses.
