Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Assistant to join our Defence team at Redford Barracks, Edinburgh. This permanent full-time position involves front-of-house service, handling tills, and maintaining dining areas while delivering excellent customer service. A supportive team environment with training is provided.

You will work 35 hours per week across 5 days, with shift times 06:30–14:00 or 11:30–19:00. On-site parking and a range of employee benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Clear communication in English is essential.
• Eligible to work in the UK and able to meet security clearance requirements.

Salary: £23,211.38 (£12.71 per hour)
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Assistant to join our Defence team at Redford Barracks. This is a permanent full-time role, perfect for someone who enjoys variety and working in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll mainly work front-of-house, supporting day-to-day operations by serving food and beverages, operating tills, keeping dining areas clean, and assisting both front and back of house. You’ll deliver excellent customer service and report to the General Manager on site.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong work ethic
• Strong skills working within a team
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with high volume customers is desirable (training provided)
• Proficient level of spoken English
• Eligible to work in the UK and have resided for 3+ years (security clearance required)
