Job summary

9fin is seeking an Engineering Lead to head the GenAI Platform team, delivering shared foundations for AI-powered products. You will shape the platform strategy, own delivery, and collaborate with product and security to ensure scalable, secure and high-performance capabilities across the organisation.

You’ll supervise engineers, align roadmaps with product needs, and drive adoption of platform tools and APIs while maintaining engineering excellence and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience directly managing software engineers and driving career development.
• Built or led shared platforms or developer tools adopted by multiple teams.
• Experience with production-grade LLM-powered applications or agent systems.
• Strong backend or infrastructure engineering background and cloud ownership.
• Ability to review designs, communicate trade-offs and guide cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the GenAI Platform team through hiring, coaching and performance management.
• Set platform direction and priorities, evaluate approaches and update roadmap based on data.
• Own delivery and operation of reliable, secure, scalable platform capabilities.
• Make the GenAI platform easy to adopt via APIs, tooling, documentation and clear ownership.
• Partner with AI/evaluation specialists to test, measure and release platform changes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and security to resolve dependencies and balance trade-offs.
