Job summary

WA Consultants is seeking a Compliance Specialist for Coventry to support GDPR compliance and data protection activities. The role focuses on managing DSARs, PAP requests, and other information requests within statutory deadlines.

You will analyse employee data, assess risks, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely responses while maintaining records and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in compliance, data protection, HR operations or other sensitive business environment.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, particularly DSARs and access rights.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and risk-based decision making.
  • Proactive, resilient and collaborative with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end DSARs, PAPs and other information requests.
  • Ensure all requests are completed within statutory timescales and in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Analyse employee data and produce reports to support compliance activities.
  • Assess risks and make informed, risk-based decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to resolve queries.
  • Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvements to processes.
  • Contribute to team objectives while managing your own workload and priorities.
